How I can help

Aged care and mobility

Falls, balance, strength, and getting safely around the house. I work with older people at home and in aged care facilities, and with the families and carers around them. The goal is always practical: staying steady, staying independent, staying out of hospital.

Pain and injury

Back, neck, shoulder and knee pain, treated where you live. No clinic visit, no parking, no waiting room. Assessment, hands-on treatment and a plan of exercises that fit your actual home and routine.

Post-surgery and hospital recovery

After a joint replacement, a fracture or a hospital stay, the first weeks at home matter most. I continue rehabilitation where the hospital left off, in the rooms and on the stairs you use every day.

For families arranging care

If you're organising physio for a parent, you're probably doing it between other things. Here's how it works.

  1. Step 1

    A phone call

We talk about what's going on - the fall, the surgery, the thing that's changed. Ten minutes, no obligation.

  2. Step 2

    A first home visit

I come to your parent's home or facility and do a full assessment - mobility, strength, the home itself.

  3. Step 3

    A plan you both understand

You get a clear plan in plain language - what we're working on, how often I'll visit, and what progress looks like.

About Danica

I'm Danica Lising, an AHPRA-registered physiotherapist, and Ahead Allied Health is just me. I started this practice because I kept seeing the same thing: older people and busy families passed between rotating clinicians who never quite knew their story. I keep my patient list small on purpose. When you call, I answer. When I say I'll be there Tuesday at ten, I'm the one at the door - the same physio, every visit, who knows your history without reading it off a screen.

I see private patients and aged care residents across Newcastle, the Hunter and the Central Coast. Sessions are 45 minutes and cost $150. DVA and NDIS funding are on the way; if that's what you need, call me and I'll tell you honestly where things stand.
